Woodbury Home Remodel

This home remodeling project in Woodbury MN includes the full remodel of the master bathroom, a second bathroom, and some facelift work in the kitchen.

Most of this project takes place in the master bathroom.  A large, unused corner bathtub and tiny shower were removed to make space for a spacious master shower.  The new shower features “his and her” ends with features for each of our clients.  “Her” end includes a handshower and a bench seat.  “His” end is simpler with a nice shower head and room for storing shampoo bottles.  The shower also features an accent stripe of the floor tile and a custom glass enclosure.

The master bath also includes a new wood-plank look tiled floor, furniture style vanity, marble countertop.  New mirrors, lighting, paint and accessories finish the space.

The second bathroom is primarily used by the children.  It includes a new tile floor and vanity, as well as paint, lighting, and accessories.

In the kitchen, the existing cabinets were painstakingly painted with a custom distressed finish.  Silestone quartz countertops and a new sink and faucet complete the kitchen remodel.

Gray-Toned Bathroom

This simple bathroom remodel in Inver Grove Heights features a beautiful tiled tub surround with a generous shampoo niche.

Since our clients loved their existing bathtub, we left it in place and had it refinished.  A brand new luxury vinyl floor looks great and is easy to clean.  In addition, new custom oak cabinetry provides maximum storage in a minimal space.  The countertop includes an integrated sink which is easy to clean.  Finishing touches included drywall repairs, paint, and coordinating towel racks and accessories.

South St. Paul Bathroom Remodel

This home in South St. Paul was built in the 1940’s, and showed many signs of aging.  After demolition and before the finish work began, upgrades were made to the aging plumbing and electrical systems.  In addition, the original window was replaced with a more efficient glass block window.

To gain some space in the tiny bathroom, the door was replaced with a pocket door.  To add some much-needed storage, a linen closet was built with custom oak cabinetry surrounding it.  Space for the closet was borrowed from an adjacent bedroom closet.

Our clients wish to live in their home for as long as possible, so some aging-in-place touches were added as well.  As designers, we are grateful to the fixture manufacturers fro finally providing grab bars and other accessories that don’t look so institutional.

The beautiful finishes in this bathroom include porcelain tile, fixtures from Delta, and a clear glass shower door that allows the beautiful tile work and additional light from the window to show through.

Home Remodel in Little Canada

This project touched every single room of this 4-level split in Little Canada MN.

Highlights include:

Full remodels of two bathrooms

Partial remodel of a third bathroom

Painting of all walls and ceilings in the entire home

New floorcovering in every room of the home, including carpet, vinyl, and tile

Updated lighting

Since our clients were living in the home throughout the project, we decided to perform the transformation in two phases:  First the lower two levels, and then the upper two levels.  A furniture moving company was hired to relocate our clients belongings prior to each phase, and again at the completion of all of the work. At the conclusion of the project, our professional cleaning team removed all traces of dust and remodeling residue.

Our designer worked tirelessly with the clients to perfect all of the numerous choices in flooring, tile patterns, and paint colors.  She even helped our client hang her pictures and artwork.  Since each room of the home was touched by the project, careful consideration was given to how the different colors and textures work together.

Among the challenges that were faced and overcome:  A hidden mouse infestation that required much disinfectant and odor-blocking primer, An alarm system installation that had wires snaked where our hardwood floors needed to go, and a sensitive fire alarm that was set off during a wood cutting operation (You’ll be glad to know that the Little Canada Fire Chief is a nice fellow).

TESTIMONIAL

“Eric and Ruth Bader presented a personal, professional and competent response to the project that I proposed to them.  Never did I sense reluctance or unwillingness to adjust or modify what I wanted done.  Their suggestions were also made with an understanding of my needs and the outcomes that I wanted.
They have assembled a quality team of trades-people who were friendly, professional, and competent.
Over the 2-1/2 months of work, I felt my home and the project were in good hands.  I appreciated that all the work was supervised, double checked for perfection, and generally completed on schedule.  Thanks for a job well done!”

Simple Bathroom

Our clients goal for this project was to get rid of their existing leaky and musty bathroom.  They didn’t have the desire or budget for very high-end finishes.  Our budget friendly solutions included a shower insert, luxury vinyl flooring, and basic fixtures.  Behind the scenes, we got rid of the nasty carpet and grid-panel ceiling, and also added an exhaust fan and updated the lighting.

Corian Shower

Our clients existing tiled shower was poorly installed, which led to water infiltration behind the walls, and ultimately led to the wall caving in due to the rot.  For the new shower, our clients wished for something that was easy to clean and maintain, and doesn’t have any grout.

Our solution was Corian solid surface panels.  This material allows us to create a nearly seamless shower stall that is super easy to squeegee off.

Additional features of this shower include a sliding glass door, as well as “his and hers” shower heads.

BATHROOM IN INVER GROVE

This project touched every room of the home:  full kitchen and bathroom remodels, as well as new doors, trim, and flooring throughout.  In addition, the popcorn ceiling texture was removed and new knockdown texture was applied, followed by fresh paint on all of the walls and ceilings.

This Inver Grove Heights kitchen still had all of it’s original 1978 parts.  A full gut and remodel included plumbing and electrical upgrades.  The soffit was removed to allow full-height cabinetry and maximize the storage space.  Oak cabinets and Cambria countertops look great and will hold up for many years.

The bathroom tub/shower features two recessed niches and two corner shelves for storage, porcelain tile with a stone and copper inlay, and a deep soaking tub for a relaxing soak after a hard day.  A custom oak vanity provides plenty of storage and is topped with Cambria quartz.  The heated tile floor feels great on a cold winter day.  Custom touches include “floating” wood shelves and a custom robe hook rack.

In the living room, we replaced the sooty wood fireplace with a clean gas fireplace, custom cabinetry, stone surround, and marble tile hearth.  A custom mission-style guardrail surrounds the stairway to the basement.

The entire home received numerous lighting upgrades, including custom lighting in the glass-front cabinets, undercabinet lighting in the kitchen, and recessed lighting with dimmer switches.

BATHROOM WITH WHIRLPOOL

This bathroom remodeling project in Inver Grove Heights posed some interesting challenges, such as a corner bathtub that was barely large enough to fit a small child.  In addition, our client couple is 6’9″ and 5’3” tall, so we needed to come up with a plan to accommodate both of them.  Our solutions included a 6′ whirlpool tub, comfort height toilet, and an extra tall vanity.  The mirror tilts, allowing users of all sizes to prepare for the day comfortably.  Porcelain tile mimics the look of stone without the maintenance.

ITALIAN TRAVERTINE BATHROOM

Outdated olive green tiles and a mirrored shower door were banished and replaced with beautiful Italian travertine stone and oil-rubbed bronze fixtures and shower door. Due to the age of the home, extensive plumbing and electrical upgrades were necessary.  This bathroom also features extensive tile work, imported tile, a new window, and a new exhaust fan.

TESTIMONIAL

“Eric and his team did a wonderful job on our bathroom remodel project. The workmanship was outstanding. During the project, Eric kept us informed of his progress, was on site when he said he would be, cleaned up the work space and surrounding areas before leaving each day and completed the project on time. These are things you expect from a contractor.

Eric also brings some unexpected things as well: honesty, integrity, and a genuine concern for our satisfaction. He is also very well organized and is willing to spend time discussing options, recommending materials and suppliers and explaining solutions to problems in a manner that is honest and easy to understand. We would not hesitate to hire Eric again or recommend him to anyone.”

POWDER ROOM REMODELING WITH POLISH

Since this bathroom is the primary one that is used by guests, our Mendota Heights clients wished to transform this powder room into a more comfortable and luxurious space.  The seizure-inducing chessboard tile was replaced with polished marble.  A comfort-height toilet is more comfortable for guests of all sizes.  The maple cabinetry with espresso finish provides storage for extra tissue and other items.  Also included in this project is a Cambria Quartz countertop, which is topped with a Kohler sink and Delta faucet.

TESTIMONIAL

“We hired Allrounder Remodeling to remodel 3 bathrooms in our new home before we moved in. We were on a very tight timeframe and they did everything in their power to get the project done on time and on budget. From the initial consultation to the final walk-thru they were nothing but professional. I loved the fact that they would give me regular email updates on the progress they had made on any given day and what we could expect to see in the upcoming days. I trusted them completely in our home when we were not there. We could not be more pleased with the work they did. We would hire them again in a second. “
